Merlin
the Magnificent and the Adventures of Arthur
took place at The
Library Theatre in Manchester over the Christmas
of 1989/1990. Looking back it is the production
which from which I collected the most memorabilia.
This
doesn't really surprise me, I was at my happiest
during this run and although we were hit by
a nasty bug mid way through I really enjoyed
the friendships and the social life that went
along with it.
The
production was pretty good! Well designed with
an able script and although it suffered from
an over long first half it held the attention
of both adults and children alike.

I
was pleased with my performances, although my
singing voice was not as strong as others. I
was particularly happy playing a mole dressed
as a miner! I found the character quickly with
the good dialogue I had been given.

It
was Christmas and the kids were fantastic! It
was my first experience of performing with Children
in mind and I really enjoyed it. Many children
wrote letters and send drawings after their
school trips.
