I was never really happy with a Comfort of Strangers or Strangers as it was called when we ran in London . It was a good tour, with many good venues and a likeable cast, however Ian McEwan's novella does not translate well to the stage, many chapters involve characters in thought and this is all but impossible to dramatise.

 

I felt it was a missed opportunity and although some revues were inexplicable favourable I was aware that we were losing an audience pretty quickly. I don't know what happened to Empty Space the only reference I could find is this website and I'm not sure if it is the same company.
